Comic-book project (Update2)

Production is now in full swing. Special thanks goes to Graffiti-writer Power of Seres crew for giving the characters in this story their particular style of writing.

Collaboration with Brasilsuecia

Great fun :)I was sent a snapshot of the letters with a partial background. I widened the image and continued on the background and did the character.

Skilsecur (Collaboration with Skil - Part 3)

We decided do a little oldschool theme this time.

The letters were done separate. The same with the characters. The background ended up being made up of four A4 drawings. 

Collaboration with Skil (Top Dogz) Part 2

Skil made these letters first for the first image, but decided underway that something a little bit different was needed so i took the opportunity to do another character. Click the image to see a larger version.I've wanted to do a Bruce Lee drawing again for a long time so i figured this would fit in well with Skil's letters.

Collaboration with Skil (Top Dogz) Part 1

Graffiti-writer Skil is a very gifted artists from Sweden. We wanted to collaborate on something so we ended up with this. Click the pic for a higher resolution.Skil did the letters while i did the two characters. It was alot more fun to focus entirely on the characters and let someone much more skilled do the letters. Don't like watching TV without doing anything else. Waste of time. Pen and paper is always close by.

The 'E' looks terrible and don't fit in with the rest. The rest turned out allright.

The scan wasn't particularly good and my markers and pens is drying out so it turned out more muddy than i hoped. Will try to do less characters and more letters as the latter is my biggest weakness.

Graffiti sketches (2001-present)

I still do Graffiti related sketches occasionally. To me this is a way to think new and to experiment with different ideas. Graffiti allows that even though it has some basic rules you want to stick to.

My earliest influences were the Danish stickers that you got when buying the Dandy chewing-gum. Later it was the Swedish writers like Mania and Baze, Merley, Disey & Ziggy.

hiphop - graffiti * rap * breaking * dj-ing (2009)

This book is written by Øyvind Holen and illustrated by me. It's a factual book for children about the different elements in hip hop (target group 8-14 Years).

There are cartoons inside (not pictured), but i feel that they were a little rushed and could have been better.

All these drawing were done pretty small (A4) so what you see in the book is the original size(!). They work allright, but i cringe when i see the rough lines!

With this book both Øyvind and me won the award for best factual book for children and youth from the Norwegian  Ministry of Culture. That was pretty cool.

Mondo Collective (2004)

This was a birthday present for a good friend of mine. After all these years i still use the pen and not the brush and ink.
