Kaptein sabeltann (captain sabertooth) Cover for THE PC GAME (2007)

Sometimes you will have to start allover again like in this case. I started with the first one and we found out that it would'nt work as it was'nt exiting enough so we (i) did another one. It turned out better and more dramatic. With covers everybody often want to contribute so in the final one most of the people in Artplant (and Terje Formoe - the creator of the character offcourse) got their say.

Drew Strewsan was a big inspiration at this point. I love that adventurous feel you get from his posters. I tried to catch that feel, although the result turned out a little subdued and static.

This was my final result. Funnily enough we began to have second doubts about this one too after being sent to the stores as it disapeared in the shelves with the rest of the movies (and ironically our first kaptein Sabeltann PC game which looked simillar colour-vise). So Joachim Barrum did a completely new one with new colours that worked alot better.

Sezam christmas Calendar (2007)

This one is drawn on 3 taped together A4 sheets. You cannot catch everything at a first glimpse. I like that.

All the drawings together actually loops horizontally. Virtual guarden/screenplay commissioned this piece and they used it as a christmas-calendar for Sezam.

I was fairly happy with the result. I think i spent a week on it all together. It underwent a few corrections as i went along, but since this is the digital age it was not hard to do. 15 years ago i would have to re-draw the whole piece!

Each number has a little clue. I think you won a price or something if you managed to figure out all of them.

General Patton Vs. X-ecutioners (2005)

This is a release (or promo. Can't remember) poster for their album (with the same title). Martin Kvamme did the logo and the design for the album. Mike Patton wanted to have a pretty simillar style as the Vice-city cover. So i did, but tried at the same time to add a little personal touch in there. I did several different versions of this poster. R.I.P Roc Raida.

Figure-drawings (2002)

I promised that i would'nt post another sheet of poses, but i just like how i divided the joints in these and how the amount of details are kept to a minimum.

Figure-drawings (1999)

Figure-drawings is a great excersice. I used to do alot of this. If i had the time now i would still do it.

Normally we would start with quick poses (about 1 minute) and then up to 2 minutes and to end the session we would have  a 15 minute pose. I liked the 1 minutes best as they forced you to get everything in place fast. These are some of my 1 minute poses. It would be madness to post more as i have hundreds of sketches like these. They more or less look the same as we often used the same model.

Elektrostat exhibition (2006)

I was approached by Elektrostat synth festival and asked if i wanted to exhibit some of my work so i touched up a few things i had that i thought would fit. I actually think that all of these are from around 2001, but they were a little rough so i inked them and did some large prints that i framed. The original inked drawing of the character above (I call him Claus) was given to my old friend Sverre Malling. All of these were drawn small (A4) so i'm pleased that they still look good in a large A1 format.
